I have been reading a wonderful book called The Lazy Environmentalist on a Budget written by Josh Dorfman.

Josh Dorfman is also the is the author of The Lazy Environmentalist: Your Guide to Easy, Stylish, Green Living (Stewart, Tabori & Chang) and host of The Lazy Environmentalist television series on the Sundance Channel. Dorfman is also the founder and CEO of Lazyenvironmentalist.com, a resource for consumers seeking the best green products and services, and of Vivavi, a retailer of modern, green furnishings. He lives in New York City.

We try to stay as green as possible in our home.  We use reusable shopping bags, cloth napkins and cloth diapers.  We also try to find things used before purchasing new.  I’m always looking for other places in our life to make changes as well.  Sometimes it is hard to find what is what in the green world.  Especially keeping it affordable.

When I was asked to review The Lazy Environmentalist on a Budget I jumped at the chance!  Lazy and Budget being the key words that caught my attention.

Josh has created a bible.  Seriously, this book is packed with information, websites, ideas and much much more.  He makes it easy to get a bit greener without blowing your money.

You can easily and affordably have your designer jeans and contribute to a green planet too. From raising eco-conscious kids to greening your daily commute, the Lazy Environmentalist Josh Dorfman provides insights into the next wave of green innovation and the products and services that will lighten your planetary impact and lower your expenses.

Josh tells us how we can find bargain basement deals on stylish organic bedding and bamboo furnishings at the largest retailers in the world. Score instant rebates on everything from compact fluorescent light bulbs to energy-efficient air conditioners. Did you know you can even earn reward points for carpooling with friends? This is just a small sampling of the information given in this book.

Just think…our kids are affected by the choices we make right now! Our grandkids and on and on down the line.  Even little changes help make a big change later on.  I highly recommend getting this book to open your eyes and find new ways to be green.
