My lil sis was in town w/ her lovely family last weekend, and my mom kept her 9 month old PLUS all 4 of my kiddos (and Mason is one busy boy--God bless my mama!), and us sistahs went out for Moroccan food at The Kasbah in Irving w/ the boyfriends-we-just-happen-to-be-married-to. It was late, so the host let us sit in this fabulous draped area that I guess would normally be reserved for large groups or special occasions-- gold & burgandy embroidered velvet panels, this amazing, ornately-carved tabletop that looked like it came from some millennia-old Moroccan palace, comfy-cushiony-benches in a "U" around the table. We all got to stretch out and relax, old-world style bay-bee! The mediterranean treats kept coming, from the sweet Persian mint tea until the amazing baklava, we ate and chatted. It was probably the first grown-up evening I've gotten to spend with my sis & her hubby ever. We're 7 years apart, so we've never been at the same stage of life until now. It was awesome!
